VICTORY! 4717-12-1

General Summary

The party comes to inside a tent, the last thing they could remember was fighting a goblin digging machine that had tunneled underneath the town, and then an explosion. Next to their cots was thier armor and clothes having been folded and lain on a small crate beside you both have been cleaned, repaired or replaced altogether. Exiting the tent you see that the autumn sun has already begun to set you estimate that it's been hours since the explosion. Arculyte lanterns are slowly coming the life as the setting sun is making it harder for children and adults alike to search for missing loved ones. What's left of the towns guard are assisting the children taking them around the hastily built encampment, some find their parents while others have the grim task of identifying bodies. Tables are being set up to provide food to those who had their homes ruined by the fires set by the goblins. The mayor stands at the top of the church steps speaking with Azorian Hemlock and other members of the town. It was a long day but the party has fought off the goblins and saved this town. They even saved a local noble Aldern Foxglove from his fate. Any surviving goblins have fled north in droves , in some cases preferring to leap to their certain deaths off the cliff at Junker's Edge rather than be captured.   In the shadow of the goblin attack, Sandpoint is hardly interested in finishing up the Swallowtail Festival citizens retreat to their homes to hide and recover from the day's horrors, yet as they go, they take the time to thank the PCs for saving them. Finally, at some point before the end of the day, the PCs are approached by Aleesia Orelon. The innkeeper has been quite impressed with the PCs' actions, and offers them free rooms at the Rusty Dragon for a week as a way to thank them for helping to defeat the goblins.
