Session notes # 7

General Summary

World Time: Anael (Sun) 4th Venser (Autumncrest) Year 4717 Start: 2:18 pm End: 3:34 pm     After catching their breath from hastily exploring the first floor of the Guardhouse and giving Hadarai time to summon Lorelei they group headed up to the second floor of the guardhouse. The hallways of this floor were nicer than the ones from the floor below. Quickly they went to a room directly at the top of the stairs. This room contained an overly large bass called an Octobass, it was 12 feet tall, deeming it odd for there to be a 12 foot tall bass within a room they shut the door. They passed on a room were a loudly snoring creature could be heard and discovered a room that had a control panel on it. Leaving the panel, for now, the party chased a figure up to the third floor of the guardhouse.   More time was given to explore the third floor. The hallways of the third floor were carpeted in colorful crushed glass making it glitter in the magical light. All of the rooms on this floor were explored briefly of note there was a room with tridents on the walls that animated when touched. The party encountered a small dragon-like being by that name of Otto. Otto claimed that this whole tower was its possession. In another room, both Hadarai and Flaik were accosted by two bats which could have been ignored until Flaik decided to remove a scroll form the case is was hanging in on the wall. When the glass was shattered both bats transformed into what appeared to be muscular gargoyles. Powerful bat wings bear them swiftly aloft in the room, and their hands and feet are tipped with razor-sharp claws which will probably cut through flesh and bone with ease.   The session ends with the party in a precarious situation, but to ensure their new home away from home is safe will they run and fight latter or will they turn and fight where they stand.   2nd Floor Well-Appointed Halls   Southwest Guest Room   Octobass Room   Snoring Creature Room   Console Room   3rd Floor Glittering Hall   Southwest Chamber   Northwest Chamber   Northeast Chamber   Southeast Chamber   “Homunculi Unwelcome”   Bat and Scroll Room   Alchemist’s Laboratory   Throne Room
