Rurik has been Cheiftan of the Petrucii of Glenn Fion for 17 years, as his mother was before him. He is a cautious leader, and under his leadership the Petrucii have faced no hardship, and have even grown in population. He is a staunch believer that leaving Glenn Fion is a bad idea, and that what ever dangers are in the Big Big Dark Sea and beyond the collapsed tunnel at the bottom of the glenn are best left well enough alone.
Rurik was extremely fascinated by the party after they fell over the falls into Loch Fion. He was sure that they were members of a different branch of @Petrucci that have long been separated after the earth shook, but he has accepted that they are not. He has shown wonderful hospitality to the party, housed them, fed them, cared for their wounds, and told them anything they wanted to know about the Petrucii culture and Glenn Fion
