武藤家, Mutō-Ka, Mutō House
武藤家 (Mutō-Ka, Mutō house) Was the house which Takeshi would live in for the rest of his days when he gave up power in 1645.
History
Construction started in 1643 as an exit plan for Takeshi who was planning on giving up power. The entire place was constructed as a standard Shoin Zukuri house. Despite being nearly 94 he specifically ordered that it have a training area for him. The land owned by Takeshi ultimately encompassed the coastline near his house and much of the wooded area around as well. There was also a pond and a big garden alongside the rest of the house. Takeshi would live the rest of his time here from 1645 to 1648. The ownership passed to Masato Mutō, however when he went missing in 1652, with no confirmation on his death the property technically belongs to Masato Mutō. In practice the Kitsune sect of buddhism takes care of the house and it has since become a tourist attraction. One of the most notable and unique parts was the pigeon coop which still holds pigeons to this day.
