Session 10 Report

General Summary

Tarsakh 10th, 1492 Upset with the foiled assassination attack on Radicus, Carvedous takes his revenge on the meddling Rat Pack. The weekly event now featured them against alien plants called aartuk’s. The vicious and cunning foes quickly proved to be deadly adversaries. Clonk took the opportunity to try and stab Geasle in the back. It was a clean blow, but it wasn’t enough to down the ghoul.   Battle in the swampy arena broke out as what appeared to be trees were actually disguised monsters. The elder was the last to reveal itself and proved to be far deadlier than its warriors or priest. Clonk and Azid were both knocked unconscious and the rest of the party struggled to survive against the resilient foes. Finally, Kouvian landed the killing blow to the elder. He drove his saw arm into the monster’s torso and then dissected it. The crowd roared with approval.   Tarsakh 11th, 1492 The day after the battling the aartuk, the party spoke to an autognome named Giluru. He had provided them with critical aid during the battle. He revealed that he was thousands of years old has only been activated within the last couple of weeks. Giluru said that he was being treated as loot by the person that found him: Master Carvedous.   Tarsakh 15th, 1492 Stinkbreath received a letter from Festicus. He was nearly complete with understanding the collars but needed to know the location of the emitters. He asked for them to quietly discovered the location of the emitter and report it back to him. The party decided that Scraps was the best equipped to do the job. Azid cleverly thought to cast spider climb on him before the rogue went to track the drones.   Scraps proved to be the perfect candidate for the job. Never before had he moved so deftly and in the shadows as he tracked the drone. Even leaping from building to building in the city, no one even knew that the ratfolk was stalking the robot. It was only when they reached the outskirts of the city that chance worked against Scraps and gave away his position. Not to let his hard work go to waste, he carefully remained hidden and waited for the spooked drone to return. Finally, the location of the emitter was revealed and Scraps quickly returned with the information.   Mirtul 3rd, 1492 Explosions in the distance and the roar of battle announced to the group that the revolution had begun! Knowing that the only way off the island they were on was with a spelljammer at Master Carvedous’ villa, they headed directly for there. Along the way they battled some of the clockwork guards and folk of Leng, making quick work of their enemies.   Inside the villa, they reached the dock where a grand galleon was waiting for them. However, they were stopped by Carvedous and his retinue. In a hurry to leave before the rebels arrived, he proposed a deal: He would take his ship and leave, but let the Rat Pack have his other spelljammer. There was no need for violence, but he was more than ready to fight if that’s how they wanted to deal with things. The party chose violence.   It did not take them long to realize that they were outmatched by the folk of Leng and his robots. Still, he was pressed for time and so made them the same offer one last time. This time, seeing what they were up against, the party wisely chose to deal with him. Carvedous escaped on his galleon, but not before leaving them with his other spelljammer: a tiny goblin arrow.   Azid got into the helm as the rest of the party only just managed to squeeze into the tiny ship. Assuming control, Azid took the Rat Pack over the city and into the vastness of space. The ship wasn’t fast, and they had no idea how long it would sustain them. Whatever they did next, they’d have to do in a timely manner or risk being stranded in space.
