Session 1 Report
General Summary
Winter-rain 9th, 2191
After the Battle for Valera takes place, The Heroes of Saltmarsh leave the capital without Measle E. Bolascab. Measle finds and reconnects with his brother, Stinkbreath. One day, in the markets, cultists from the Black Goat's Flock are causing havoc with local businesses. Measle and Stinkbreath joined forces with Azid, Scraps, Animus, and Garnus the Resolute to fend off the attackers. These cultists fled, but not before promising vengeance on the Temple of Charun, which Garnus represented.
Measle reported this incident to the city guard, but they were too overwhelmed with the aftermath of the ice mephit invasion that they couldn't do much about the threat. The group decided that it was only right to wait and defend the temple from the cultists.
Winter-rain 10th, 2191
A prepared band of cultists from the Black Goat's Flock attacked the Temple of Charun in Valera. Garnus the Resolute led the defense of the temple and defeated the vile cultists. Many of the locals witnessed their bravery and treated them as heroes. To their surprise and please, they were given drinks and food and celebrated that night.
They decided that the benefits of beating up cultists were worth repeating the deed. They planned to continue their work together "on behalf of the city," of course.
Winter-rain 13th, 2191
Anton Valcrist recently relocated to the city of Valera from somewhere out west. He finds the party because he's heard of their heroic deeds around the city. He tells them that a very valuable crate belonging to him was stolen by a man named Gellan Primewater. He reported this information to the guard, but to his shock, it appeared that they were protecting the smuggler.
He gave a list of the stolen goods, described as historical relics and decades of personal research, to the party in the hopes that they could go to Saltmarsh and "reacquire" his property from Primewater. He promised them 100 GP each upon completion. The party eagerly accepted the lucrative opportunity.
