Middangiard

Listen. Listen. I made a fantasy world. I was bored. Don't expect much.     Okay, WorldAnvil says this has to be 140 words or it'll get mad at me. So. Middangiard is a fantasy world generic enough to be recognizable and inviting. It's cliche fantasy up until you realize it's not. Nearly two dozen sentient races inhabit Middangiard, with humanity, limited to its northwest corner, making up just a fraction of the world population. Things are trending upward for humanity though -with the empires of elves, dwarves, and trolls all come and gone, the Great Empire of Man now stands as the world’s premier political entity. The misleadingly named multiethnic empire counts additionally among its denizens elves, dwarves, halflings, tieflings, goblins, and orcs, but make no mistake -man is now in charge.     The empire is ruled from Aeternia, the Eternal City, a beautiful centrally planned metropolis on the coast of some sea I haven’t named yet.     Fucking hell, WorldAnvil. This is over 140 words. Check the little box next to it on my to do list already. What else do you want from me? I'm OCD and that shit's triggering me. Just check the box so I can move on to actually working on my world so that previously mentioned sea actually gets a name. Otherwise it'll forever just be called "that sea I haven't named yet," and that's a lame ass name.
