Folk of all races live here, but the richest are almost all gnomes. Those who leave tend to be traveling merchants, jewelers, miners and the like. The Sand Isles stayed out of the Great War entirely. The Sand Isles is ruled by the Parliament of Jewels. Like Exonia’s House of Lords it consists of rival merchants, but in the Sand Isles, money talks. Anyone can buy a seat in the Parliament if they can afford it. Seats are not hereditary; the children of the wealthy must pay again.
