Gnome

Compact and requiring little water and nutrition, gnomes are perfectly formed for their lives in the desert. The gnome tribes spend their days digging in the sand (and mining beneath it) for precious metals, minerals, and gems, which they claim to be able to smell. Once a year, they come east in wagons pulled by great lizards to trade these materials for the crafted goods of other races.
