Gith

The gith are agents of the pantheon who survived the God War. Their original goal was to destroy Midavel entirely, but that failed when Urcia sacrificed the Weird Made Flesh. The death of magic ended the gods' ability to influence Midavel, but it also ended the threat. Now, with magic returning, the gods are concerned that another God War is coming. Much better to strangle the child in the cradle, as it were. So the gods have sent the gith to Midavel to counter Aru's influence and stop the spread of magic. Barring that, their goal is to get the namzaqu and use them to release the gargantua to finish the job of destroying Midavel.
