Atheism and Agnosticism

Increasingly, especially among the urban intellectual class, the trend has been toward doubting the existence of Aru at all. These nonbelievers see clerics of Aru as simply another class of wizard, drawing on some source of magic that is not inherently divine. Similarly, the undead, demons and devils that the churches battle against are viewed as mere monsters— extra-planar, perhaps, but no more supernatural than kobolds or wyverns.
