Vhaigur-Tech

The light of a long-gone civilization

Vhaigur-Tech is undoubtedly the most widespread form of powered technology in all of Alézun'Teran that is accessible to the average person. Its usage is primarily concentrated in Varldstan Cericor however.
At its fundamental core, it utilizes electricity produced through electromagnetic processes. While it is primarily a physical reaction grounded in natural sciences, it has an underlying esoteric element to it.

Name

Vhaigur Technology is named after an ancient civilization that once upon a time spanned a significant portion of Creastvkr.
It is rumored to have been upheld primarily by both the Mountain Lords and the Plain Barons; that they were the ones who researched and invented the principles of the technology. However, since its long-gone high days — and particularly after the Great Sorrow — it has been refined by those with the proper knowledge and due necessity.

Volt Crystalls

At the center of Vhaigur Technology are the Volt Crystals — solidified electricity that can both be found in nature and grown artificially, though the latter is highly restricted.
Apart from being integral to the production of electrical power from within the Vhaigur engine, volt crystal is also a standard byproduct of the whole process. In due time — believed to be due to the frequent energy that is constantly released — solidified electricity will begin to crystallize on the engine and will need to be scraped off if one wants to avoid a violent overload.

Core Characteristics

Vhaigur-Tech Sounds

The main sound that is synonymous with Vhaigur-Tech is a soft humming that reverberates from its inner core. It is more notable with larger machines, especially power generators, but it can be mitigated with sound-isolating materials.
The start-up sound of a Vhaigur engine is that of a low buzzing sound accompanied by the noise of metal disks scraping against each other, followed by electrical sparks. Strangely enough, the sound of the metal disks scraping together occurs even when no engine parts that correspond with the sound are installed.

Vhaigur-Tech Lights

The primary light that is associated with Vhaigur-Tech is a soft sapphire blue hue that its engine and power generators emit.
Most machinery created have Light-Ventilation, which allows the esoteric wavelengths to be properly released from its core, which has shown to cause less volt crystallization of its interior parts.
The start-up light of a Vhaigur engine is a stark purple-white hue that carries with it a tint of electricity.

Vhaigur-Tech Temperatures

The temperatures that are associated with Vhaigur-Tech are below zero degrees. It is thus common for machines to be covered in a thin layer of frost after activation.
A naked engine without isolating materials will usually emit a cold that is noticeable within a few meters, though this is also determined by the size of said engine, as well as energy output. When the opposite is the case, it will usually not be noticeable beyond a few millimeters from its surface.
