Sphinx Library
A massive library complex, reputed as a veritable reservoir of all knowledge, that functions as the de facto seat of power of the small city-state surrounding Sphinx Lake.
Purpose / Function
The Sphinx Library was built to safely house as many records from different nations as possible, to shelter them and prevent damage to them from all of the political, economic, and natural dangers of the world. It houses the largest repository of books and records in the world, and its goal is to preserve the world's history as accurately as possible. It was founded by a Sphinxborn, and it has been continuously headed by each new Sphinxborn with each generation. Each Sphinxborn has also been charged with the keeping of and with the responsibility of adding to the Book of the Sphinx.
