Annorlunda

Annorlunda is a fundamental part of the way in which society in Priom Crana works.
Those who are members are deemed to be the highest embodiment of Giant virtues and are deemed worthy to sit in concord with the giants who govern the nation.
At any one time there are no more than 36 members. These 36 are made up of 6 pillars, representing the 6 aspects of what makes a truly powerful giant.
The Annorlunda are based within Ancestor's Rest, and act as both its final stalwart defenders in emergency and its eyes in the world, they are permitted access to the ancestors and enable them to be appraised of what is going on in the world. The ritual by which individuals join the society is such that they become vessels for the Ancestors who may choose to perceive the world through their eyes. The actual ritual undertaken is a well kept secret, only known by the Overseers and the members of Annorlunda themselves.

Mythology & Lore

The Annorlunda worship the Giant Ancestors, mythical giants who lived many centuries, perhaps millennia ago.
They venerate them through the Ancestor's Rest, a building of 7 towers, 6 branching out from a seventh taller central tower.
These ancestors are believed to represent the spirits of the Kohtalokas Mountains, beings of immense power and influence. They do not hold names in their own rights but rather have taken on embodiment of the of the creed they follow.

Tenets of Faith

There are 6 aspects that must make up the members of the Annorlunda, and for each aspect there can be a maximum of 6 individuals in turn.
These 6 aspects are:

1. The Fury and Hunger of Hills
2. The Artistry and Stoicism of Stone
3. The Steel and Honour of Frost
4. The Craftsmanship and Might of Fire
5. The Guile and Trickery of Clouds
6. The Wisdom and Justice of the Storm
