A new group within the Department of Homeland Security the Metahuman Task Force or MTF is charged with handling metahuman threats and crime in the united states. The new HERO initiative is focused on recruiting and building metahuman teams to respond to new metahuman threats. This agency is currently expected to be temporary as various permanent solutions are being debated in congress.
