Stemolter

In the continent of Mashent. The Waaltig have a tale detailing the death of those by landslides and avalanche are reborn as Stemoletor, a type of golem. Their bodies bind with the world with the body turning into stone. They lose their intelligence holding pieces of fragmented memories. Most people fear them for their primitive nature, but there is also pity for them and they are left alone in small herds.
What makes them unique to Mashent is the fact they have a heart of a gemstone. It is unclear why only the golems of Mashent have this, but some theorize it links with their creation story and how they were originally cut out of stone.
To unbound their soul to the world, it is required to defeat them and then with the body bury it in the earth and plant a tree on top. The tree slowly grows up allowing the soul to freely pass through the routes to branch tips.
