Niene Drikarn

Summary

The Liren of Koldkom have a tale of fleeing the continent when the dreadful Daidarabotchi arouse up from the caverns to enslave them. Few groups managed to make longships undiscovered by the tyrants reigning over them. They built the hulls out of crimson bled wood, sails from the sewn skin of their enslavers, shields of their ancestors and slavers mounted on the sides. They set out across the raging sea of Yumenza, with most being taken by storm. It is believed that only a few ended up crashing into Mashent forming the new race of Woisen.
But many are theorized to still be patrolling the sea to this very day. Ever searching for a safe refuge trying to escape the harsh seas. They are called the Niene Drikarn as it is Liruil for Crimson Longship.

Historical Basis

A few Liren did leave Koldkom in the early days and Nolledao did emerge on Mashent suggesting this is the connection. Although the Nolledao don't have a recorded history as such adding extra complication to the mix.
