Nanmu Ahgrondrin

The name of the faith translating from Ahgrondani to "10 Magicians"   The faith centers around the ten practitioners of magic who are said to have guided the Chinderin during their existence in the void. With the old world destroyed, these ten leaders devoted their lives to reshaping the fragmented old world to ensure the people's survival. When their time came to an end, they transferred their consciousness into items that would appear mundane to the common man of the new world. However, to the old world, these items were a necessity for survival.   These ten magicians did not all emerge at once; instead, they appeared over a few generations. Time in the fragmented old world and new world seemed to function differently, and it remains uncertain if there were more than ten magicians over the generations. Each magician had an apprentice who would take over after their passing. The last magician was Losreis, whose name was translated to "Navigation." It's unclear whether this translation was assigned to his name or if it was changed after his feat of leading his people to the new world. Legend has it that he sailed through the abyss on a ship of ash stone, emerging from the Ahgrondmer sea and crashing onto the shores of the land that would eventually become known as Sey.   Before embarking on this voyage, the long-passed magicians foretold that once they crossed the barrier of worlds, their voices would be silenced. Still, they eagerly awaited the cheers of peace from the new world. Upon entering the new world, Losreis's apprentice, Preeh, found herself devoid of the magician's gifts that had worked in the old world. Magic was nearly invisible in this land, but it could be harnessed through sacrifice and ritual, something Preeh despised. It is said that Preeh turned her back on her fellow magicians and plotted to find a new source of fame among those who revered the natural world. This led to the founding of the Totems faith and eventually the witch hunts that destroyed the Chinderin and their empire.

Magicians

Anbid

They were the first of the magicians, it is said they were once a god of the old world, but after its destruction, they were merely a fragment of one. It is unclear whether they had a body or not, or even if they had a gender, but they are attributed for the ability to alter the world around them.

Saien

The first child to be born into the fragmented world, she is mentioned countlessly as it is perceived that people went years without a child. She soon became a magician as well as a mother as no other Chindern at the time bore the ability to conceive. Scholars are divided if this was more poetic than literal, but whatever it is she is viewed as the mother who birthed all. She however none of her stories, murals or depictions show or mention her raising a kid, suggesting she merely gave birth and passed on the child to someone else.   Chedald The wild beast that lurks the wilderness. She is the patron to druids, hunters and those who believe lycanthropy is a blessing. She is the beast the hunter Lurnth continuously pursues.   Geheim A divine worshipped by sailors as a bad omen and referred to as the Endless Leviathan. Often striking deals with mortals for new info in exchange for old. They are a hoarder of knowledge and secrets. They lack morals and will easily sink a dozen ships just to see what was going on inside the sailors' heads when they see their true form.   Pearl The light and warmth, through her warm embrace of life, is able to prosper. She was instrumental in the void in making sure the Chinderin didn't freeze to death. She is also associated with fire and its use in burning people n rituals.   Verchal The decaying one, the one responsible for teaching the arts of unification and lichdom. He governs all things undead and disease, through him plagues can be sent throughout the lands killing off the unworthy.   Masuku The shadow lurks in the corners of any room and during the shadow of night. They are a thief, an invisible evil. Thieves venerate them with desperation and lust for wealth, however as easily as they provide luck to the thief, they can easily take it away if they fancy.   Vloech The sage is dedicated to the passing on of the arcane. By possessing so much raw power he sewed the world back together from the fragments drifting in the void. He doesn't care how his magic is used as long as it is being used.   Wraach The judge is responsible for law and order. They kept everything in balance, if someone commits a crime the crime is committed back to them, and if someone is generous the generosity is returned. Nothing surpasses the original deed, pure balance. It is unknown what this true balance is and trying to understand it will lead to madness.

Loosreis

The magician responsible for the Chinderin leaving the void and entering the new world. He was the last of the Magicians to exist and never had his consciousness bound to an artefact.

Preeh

She never reached the rank of magician being only an apprentice. She offers gifts and charity to those who would inflict pain upon others. She is also known as a trickster offering power, but at a cost far greater than the reward. She is associated with rivers and has a distaste towards the undead, sacrifices and other monstrosities. This hatred goes against all the other traditions making her somewhat of a betrayer figure to the Chinderin as it was her actions that led to the Chinderin Witchhunts.
