Misty's Dream

Written by Artgalles

Purpose / Function

The building was originally constructed as a home but got turned into a tavern focused on providing food and accommodation to travellers passing by.

Design

The outside slowly changed to match the place it is found in. The interior however remains the standard medieval pub vibe. The lights are candles in lanterns fixed to the wall with a large tungsten chandelier hanging down from the ceiling. Dark red logs line the walls and ceiling holding it in place. The walls are light basalt stone for half for the lower and the half upper being wooden planks of dark spruce. The ceiling matches the wood of the walls, while the floor interchanges between wood and stone. The bedrooms shift and change to fit the customer's imagination, this is a magic that manipulates reality allowing for infinite design possibilities.

Entries

There is a front door that appears of lovely honey oak. There are glass windows attached to the walls, but many different forms of windows take place in the bedrooms based on the residence's mind.

Sensory & Appearance

They see a warm cosy room in the front dotted with tables and chairs. The floor constantly has a thin vale of mist sweeping over the ground slowly moving in twirls. The air is filled with sweet and sizzling smells emanating from the kitchen, smells coming from all cultures. The bedrooms themselves manipulate themselves to create the desired aesthetic, smell, feel and sound that the customer would love most.

Denizens

Misty the half Daidarabotchi and half Liren tavern owner.  In a large tank in the corner is a golden bronze axolotl named Lucid.

Contents & Furnishings

Bar stools with soft leather on the top sitting next to the bar. Tables with silver clothes trimmed with red surrounded on chairs with many different carvings into the backs of them of the folklore of many different cultures. Plates of tungsten with copper lining the edges and glasses made out of ruby and topaz.

Valuables

A large round shield on a wall with a large carving of an eye on it with wave spiral patterns surrounding it. The metal appears to be bronze mixed with tungsten and coated in some areas with golden copper. The top half has some patina growing across it. It is named Watcher taken from an adventurer who died trying to protect his home, his name was Cadhel.   A great sword, the blade made of bronze with some patina on the end, hilt trimmed with silver on the edges. Upon the crossguard of bronze is the symbol of a hand holding a flame. It is named Last Breath a gift from an adventurer who accomplished a quest to free the dreamer, unfortunately, they failed.

Special Properties

The bedrooms are affected by the minds of the individuals inside and manipulate the surroundings to suit the individuals' wishes. It has no mind-reading, but something that transcends the world. Individuals wouldn't beable to tell something was off as it physically molds reality making this seem normal, for others it might seem suspicious but not to the ones mind that is molding the surroundings.

Alterations

The exterior of the building slowly warps throughout time adapting different pieces of architecture into it, however, the interior keeps its simple wooden aesthetic.

Architecture

The outside slowly changed to match the place it is found in.  The interior however remains the standard medieval pub vibe.

History

This building once was a storage room but after a freak accident of the owner Misty transcending reality, she reawoke into the world in a lucid state where she doesn't realize what's happening. This causes her to slowly drift across the land without her control and knowledge. Her tavern appears in different places with her believing it was always there.

Tourism

The closest tourists that visit are people who see the tavern and realize it wasn't there the day before and visit. They then see after a few days that it vanishes without their knowledge and making them believe they imagined it.
