Marauder Creek

Most trading vessels that pass through are crazy and fearless of death, as only one out of ten vessels ever make it through the canal alive.
In the centre of the canal is an island raised high holding a mass of shipwrecks fashioned into a fort, this is where the rulership of pirate law is conducted.

Geography

It is a large canal connecting the southern and northern sea, running beside the western coast of Amriga and the eastern coast of Mashent. The landmass on each side is littered with cliffs and steep hills making the nearby shores barely inhabited, with the only exception being refugees and pirates.  The current of the water goes south starting at a reasonably warm temperature. These few patches are littered with palm trees, shrubbery and thick grass.

Ecosystem

The calm waters attract a great many fish, that come to breed and lay eggs making the entrance and exit of the canal a prime fishing location. The dead bodies drifting in the sea have made this location a perfect breeding ground for the Siren, in addition to the sailors doing anything for some sexual comfort they are easy targets for any siren allowing the population to remain steady.
