As inked ichor spilt from his lips, his eyes going pure white, rashes rapidly consumed him.
The aftermath birthed a relentless plague mirroring his abnormal death.
The province, now under quarantine, cut off from trade, spiralled into disarray.
The economy crumbled, and uncertainty shrouded the province.
Governor Milon's once-noble name now plagued by this foul curse, leaves his sister, a ruler from the northern world, desperate for answers.
She believes Milon's soul is entangled, fueling the dark plague.
In this story, the protagonist becomes the chosen agent of the emperor, tasked to unearth the source of Milon's demise and the mysterious plague.
The journey unfolds a tapestry of political intrigue, woven with the threads of Milon's death formed by the insidious secrets veiled by the relentless plague and those who were viewed as his companions.
Themes
The world is rooted in dark fantasy with a touch of low fantasy and specifically for this plot it takes influence from the Middle East.
Although magic exists, it often finds itself under the question of legality, as the practice of magic is viewed as occult and is hunted down by Witchfinder.
This hunting is in accordance with a licence by the name of the World Alliance Against Sorcery, which by its very name is a document granting selected individuals, known as witchfinders, which are different to the unlicensed witchhunters, to hunt and eradicate practitioners of this foul art.
They are a lot rarer in the contemporary era thanks to the huge eradication of these practices, but also since those still doing it have gotten better at concealing it.
I want to see a lot of body horror and sickness, corrupting and just dark shit.
