BB-23: False Frog Inn

General Summary

The party found a skeletal figure in a throne chamber as well as several statues along the wall. The skeletal figure raised its sword and the party is engaged in a battle. During the battle, the statuses come to life and the party is forced to battle the statuses as well as the skeletal figure. Having disposed of the statuses and the skeletal figure, Amedee inspects the sword that is of Ashen heritage and Eskyr excitedly takes the sword. The party explores the chamber and finds gold beneath the thrown. Bickering over how the money should be split, eventually, there is decided that the party members are in the best condition and Kilo would stay behind and heal those injured. Strate, Eskyr and Amedee venture back and go through areas previously unexplored. They find a library of sorts and take a short rest while reading what is available to them. They continue on and come across 2 stray pale elves who are quickly defeated. As they continue Kou, Keth and Herin catch up to them and interrogate them over Kilo, telling them that Kilo was actually a mimic and that he attacked them. In shock and disbelief Strate, Eskyr and Amedee leave the crypt and receive a smaller cut of the gold than they had hoped for due to the late Kilo's actions. Back in Hamlet, the party is told that they require a license for any magical items they carry. They also hand over artefacts found in the crypt and return them to the inn. At the inn, they are greeted by Akio who insists they go with him to the False Frog Inn. Being tired and beaten they aren't too keen to go with. After dropping an amulet that Amedee picked up and promising Eksyr drinks, Eskyr and Amedee follow him to the False Frog Inn, where he shows them a secret entrance to the black market. With this news, Eskyr gets his drinks and they return to the inn for a long rest.
