Ashkler

Its modern name is derived from the words "Ash Suckler". It typically grows as an overhanging plant clinging to the ceilings of caves. It is found near volcanoes and other thermal vents for its natural ability to convert soot to nutrients which are excreted through its roots into the soil around it. With it being an overhanging plant the soil eventually falls to the ground creating the perfect surface for other life to flourish.   They can also be found growing in chimneys, and ovens. Being very sensitive to heat as they burn easily, a method for spreading its seeds, they typically are only found in these locations if the sight has become abandoned.     It is turned into medicine by apothecaries who use it to apply treatment to those that have inhaled a lot of smoke, typically from a building on fire. It can additionally be taken in an edible form to slowly release some of the effects of smoking on the lungs, but this causes some pain as the lungs are cleansed.
