Merthaara is a world where bigger is the norm. Your short trees are reaching nearly a hundred feet, and most trees reach well into the three hundreds. Your mountains are tall, your forests are deep, and the oceans are more dangerous than ever.

There is about 30% oxygen in the atmosphere, compared to our 21%. About 80% of the world's surface is ocean. The animals are bigger on the ground, in the air, and in the water. Mega flora and fauna is the rule and not the exception. They are smarter too; humans aren't free from being hunted. Mega fauna hasn't been as easy to fight as in our world, and wont be killed off as easily

The world is rich with cultures too. History is everywhere you look, even if you can't see it. Myths become hard to distinguish from reality, even up to today in this world. Belief drives magic, if it is real at all, and deciding what is just fantastical or real is up to you; that is, if you can tell the difference.
