Guild Notes

In The City of Cardia, there exists two forms of currency. The newest of these is known as The Guild Note or simply "Guilds". Created in 1429 by the Cardian Bank, backed by the Grand Guilds, the Guild Note has been created in an effort to exert greater control over the flow of wealth within the city. After several years since their introduction Guild Notes are accepted all over the city, with many guild businesses offering lower prices to encourage there use. There are five different notes that represent the values of 5gp 10gp 20gp 50gp and 100gp.

Manufacturing process

Guild Notes are made by The Cardia Bank utilizing printing presses supplied by The Grand Guilds. They are made using a cotton paper that makes the notes more resilient and resists wear and tear. Every year the Banks print a new supply of notes to put into circulation as a typical note lasts around 2 years.
