Founding of Brackendale

As Meras developed into a thriving city, people set their eyes to the hilly land south. If only they could get a foothold there, it might be an ideal place to found a farming community.
After a few years of carefully setting aside phosphor oil and other supplies, a group of volunteers set out to try and tame the wilderness. Brackendale was founded.
Other advancements in this time:

• Clockwork mules - an automaton designed to haul cargo in place of live pack animals.
• Strange humanoid shells discovered in the wilderness.
