Kales - Missing

Born to one of the highest noble families in all of Menzobarranzan, I led an early life of priviledge and wealth. Our families were among the most favored of Lloth, the Spider Queen. One night, a raid was conducted on our home, leading to one of the bloodiest nights of my (admittedly) spotty memory.   Although my family eventually prevailed over the upstarts, I lost my mother and fatherto the attack. Since my parents had no daughters, the responsibility of house rulership fell to me. What's more, one of the survivors revealed the secret of why the lower ranking family attacked my House; as it turns out, I was actually born to the lower ranking family and the assault was an attempt to take me back, punishing my adoptive family in the process.   One of the cardinal sins against Lloth is failure; the attack itself did not displease the goddess, it was the act of getting caught. With this being the case, my birth family was all but wiped out after their role in the attack came to light (although there are rumors that some survived and fled the Underdark).   After decades of trying to maintain the House, it eventually became clear that I could not maintain control for much longer. My status as a male caused our family to fall out of favor with our goddess, so I decided to leave the Underdark myself and forge my own path. I eventually met a man who would go on to become my mentor, a good yet cunning man mastering in the arts of stealth and thievery. He had a moral code that made sense to me, which is something I struggled with in my time in the Underdark. I stayed with hime for decades, learning everything he knew, until the day of his death.   With nothing to hold me to his home, I decided to set out once more into the wilds of the Sword Coast. My sensitivity to light had adjusted itself long ago, so I could travel during the day without worry. Aside from the natural distrust that others show Drow, I lived a grand life of adventure. I utilized the skills taught to me to maintain a healthy lifestyle and eventually learned of ways to travel to other worlds via the Feywild.   This is where my memory becomes spotty, however. Although I remember all of my past life in the Sword Coast and the various worlds I visited, there is a moment in time I do not recall...a moment that obviously cost me dearly.   All I know of this moment is that it took place in the Feywild, I assume while traveling to or from another world. Whatever happened cost me the use of many of the skills I had attained; abilities that I accomplished with ease where now lost to me. My body was significantly weaker. My strenght and dexterity were not what I remembered from years past. It was as though I had been reverted to the man I was when I first met my mentor.   Being a Drow, I should be immune to the effects of the Feywild. This leads me to assume that I somehow ran afoul of a powerful fey creature, perhaps even an archfey. I've been unable to return to the Feywild in order to investigate; even that knowledge has been taken from me. But one day I will return and take back what was stolen from me. All I need is a fey to get me there...   -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disappeared after returning from Eberron.
