Candle people. Fairies of Chinkapin County.
Use quartz sand from the bunces to make glass.
The Wisps are powered by magical wicks at the center of their bodies, which also make them a target for poachers.
The wisps, who appear for all the world to be magical candles, see themselves as the guardians of Chinkapin, for their funeral practices involve using the magical wicks at their hearts to produce artifacts that make life both more enchanted and less dangerous for many of their fellow countydwellers. They have elaborate funeral processions, taking the wick and oil that remain of their comrade for processing into magical artifacts. I'm not sure what the significance of the effigy is... yet.
Unfortunately, there is a wicked wisp witch in league with the wolves. It may be capable of ensorcelling humans in a zombie-like state.
