Melbourne

24th of February 2121

Melbourne is a now post apocalyptic city, in Australia. Due to a nuclear strike committed by an unknown source in the Great War many many years ago the city is left in ruins. The Nuke went off in the air above the Victorian Barracks and the explosion being so large that it reached all the way to Geelong and Rosebud. At its centre Williams Town was obliterated, The nuke went off mid air above the suburb. The resulting air burst shattered Port Melbourne destroying almost all of the boats that had been docked or were out in the bay. After this event the population was cut by 70%, the last either taking shelter underground or others bearing the burns and radiation above ground managing to survive.   Melbourne now over 40 years later is a shadow of its former self, its inhabitants have descended into chaos. The city is split into, what the new residents call, Burrows. Burrow borders are dictated by their new owners and land is constantly disputed. There is little to no working infrastructure many people that survived the event are now dead the people that now live in this city are their decedents. Knowledge has been lost but the people make do with what they have banding together in clans, tribes, and all sorts of groups in order to survive. The land for the most part is lawless, ripe with bandits and raiders but some take a stand against the tyranny and try to reclaim the old life.
