Common Taboos

Unfortunately, Gostary believes same-sex relations to be taboo. They are more hardline about it than Iospadia, which acknowledges the vast breadth of the human experience even if it's not very accepted. In Gostary, same-sex relations are seen as sinful, though there is a thriving homosexual underground amongst the clergy. In fact, 'becoming a monk/nun' is shorthand for being a homosexual.

The ideals for Gostans are that of feminine women, and masculine men. This is achieved through makeup on both recognized genders, alongside long dresses for women and doublets for men. Children are raised more neutrally with girls and boys wearing dresses, when they hit puberty they are then shuffled into their respective categories.
