The Dreamer's Watch

-A gold pocket watch that is above average in size which seems to always tell what the time is correctly, even if it means correcting the weather itself on what the current time actually is. It doesnt have any numbers or hands but instead a circular illustration of the day and night cycle that rotates around a middle arrow pointing upwards towards the indicated time of day it is. The location of the sun during the day and the moon during the night is always on top, putting out a slight glow and refusing to rotate along with the rest of the drawing, giving them the illusion of travelling through the sky, mimicing the movements of the celectial bodies.   -Nowadays the clock rests inside the arms of of its original owner, eternally bound to sleep under a cannopy of stars and shadows that stretch over the local area, ruining the ecosystem but providing an excelent silence, with the only sound being the calm flow of a nearby river and the rustling of dried branches in the wind. The illustration, the tiny sun and moon now stuck in place, accompany their owner in deep sleep and do what they were always meant to do. Reminding them of the connection they had to their lover, now within their dreams and unable to escape the memories which twist the joyfull, escapist fantasy of returning to those times into the painfull emotional weight of a knife being twisted with the context of what happened following those bright days.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

-It pairs up with a person who has had it in close proximity and ownership, depending on how consistant the persons sleep schedual is this can take anywhere from a a few days to a month. Later on it uses this knowledge to synchronize the persons circadian rhythm to the rate that it tells time, with time spent active being day and the time spent passive being night. Once paired, it will enforce this artificial day and night cycle anywhere within its radius range of 1km. This ability is negated inside of an anti-magic area.
-TLDR: allows control of the day-night cycle within a 1km radius based on the internal clock pf the person attuned to the artifact.-

Manufacturing process

Although manufacture techneques unknown it is speculated that its of Elven origin due to the traditional engravings most commonly assotiated with older Elvish craftsmanship and powerful use of (probably unintentional) chronomancy.

History

It was a present given by a presumed to an owner who had the most precise sleep schedual ever so its true nature lied undiscovered until that faithfull, the day when trust was broken, and when the owner fell into a deep coma, with no way to return to the waking world. There are no known records when it comes to the where-abouts of the second lover but so they are assumed to have dissapeared and or fled the area completely. With the powers of the watch the area effected by it have been put under a blanket of darkness and covered stars, all the plants have rotted due to lack of sunlight and the animals have migrated because of the food shortages that followed. And recently gates to the Shadowfell have started appearing as dimentional rifts within this domain.

Significance

Given from one lover to another, it represented a bond as deep as can be.Sadly that trust was soon to be betrayed. With one cluthing the watch in an eternal slumber and the other dissapearing without a trace. This was all that was left of the once happier, simpler times they lived, with adventures and laughter during the bright day, and the gentle, calm nights spent sound asleep.
