Old Brunder & Kaft
Old Kaftrian Folk Song
Old Brunder,
Rotunder
He just wasn't thinkin'
When he came a' knocked down Kaft's door
So Old Kaft
He just laughed
And made his own kingdom
And said Brunder I declare war
Well Old Brunder
Rotunder
He wasn't so bright
So he agreed and tried attacking once more
But Old Kaft
Just laughed
As people flocked overnight
As population growth was all that he saw
Well Old Brunder
Rotunder
He did get quite mad
And chopped off Kaftria's head
But through all of it
All of Maruve wept
For a day
For the True King was dead.
But there as those of us who
May say in hushed tones
And only do speak
Once we're all alone
That the True King does live
Far amongst trees of calm
And now goes by the name:
The Wise Man of Elmbalm
This is a traditional Kaftrian song that is usually sung after victorious battles or during celebrations. The song itself refers to the First Kaftrian-Furni War and the infamous standoff between Brunder Brocksfur and Donfen Kaft, each immortalised as the god Brunter in the Furni religions and the angel/prophet Deorfindel by various pagan tribes.
