Higher Beings

Higher beings are god-like creatures in the world of Hollow Knight that exist above all others. They have certain abilities and powers that regular bugs do not; although, these abilities are generally different for each higher being. In addition to this, some higher beings were deified; worshipped as gods by other bugs.
"Pale Being" is a term which refers to specifc higher beings, such as the White-Winged Queen.

The White-Winged Queen

The White-Winged Queen was a Wyrm until she transformed into a pale flutterfly. She expanded the minds of various flutterflies and bugs and became the last and only queen of her new-founded kingdom Maritennae. She was sealed away for unknown reasons.
