Each living thing can tap into itself and draw upon their own beating heart in order to power rare and dangerous spells and commit acts of daring and physical prowess. The creatures of the world are varied in form and species and all sapient mortals seem to have a wild unintelligent counterpart. Ruins of ancient civilizations litter the areas around the world.
