Mapis

Mapis is a world of magic and forgotten pasts. The forces of nature including the elements, gravity, time and many others, have been harnessed by humans, and in the three prominent continents, this magic has affected culture and histories in various ways.   For the western continent of Theor Grium, magic as God's gift has mended old rivalries and fostered a long, prosperous peace. Here, one's role in life is determined by the magic type they possess, as dictated by a high council of priests. People here live long, and their country grows wise in their peaceful years. But they hold dark secrets in their ancient halls, and the gift of their God might not be as benevolent as they believe.   To the far south, the frozen continent of Akora slowly rips itself apart. Five warring provinces compete for dominance and the favour of their many gods. Here, magic is sacred; a sign of an esteemed bloodline. But while the provences squabble among themselves, a bigger threat boils just under its icy surface, as the oppressed fire mages begin to escape binds of captivity. It's only so long before their rage bubbles over.   Finally, Eutumea, the continent to the east. Here, natural barriers of mountains and salt planes have split the land into three countries. To the north, the thick rainforests of Olubunmi are strictly closed to outsiders, enforced by a harsh matriarchy and technological advancements. In the centre, people struggle to survive with innovation and sturdy determination in Dahmae, a harsh desert teeming with deadly animals and bloody customs. And in the south, Latham hordes information and surges forward in magical leaps to gain control of the rest of the world. These three wildly different countries are linked through webs that run deep into bloodlines and battles. No matter how hard they try to forget, they can't stop the truth from resurfacing.   With turmoil brewing in every corner of the world, who will prosper and who will be crushed beneath the weight of their own mistakes? Only time will tell..... (dun dun dun)
