Crank Ship

Life Boats also called Crank ships, are one of the most common ships one might find in the world of Malrose. It is commonly used to fulfill the purpose of rowboats but for ships. Common people also use this as a personal transport to travel short distances between two close by islands. Stats of a crank ship can be found here Crank Ship

Design/Workings

The design of the ship is simple in nature. It is shaped as a normal row boat one finds in water with cloth wings to the side and a propeller attached to the back.

The Ship Core

Attached to it in the middle, is the ships core. The ship core is shaped like a little cage with a lever next to it. Inside the cage is a little piece of The Aether Ore suspended via chains. Upon pulling the lever the ore piece lowers giving the ship weightlessness needed for flight when it touches the wood of the ship.

Manuvarbility

Attached on the side of the ship are wing which are used to control the pitch and roll of the ship. The wings are made from cloth with wooden frames and can be folded inside to the sitting area of the ship when they are not needed.

Propulsion

Propulsion is achieved via a propeller attached to a servo in the back which can be moved left and right allowing control over the yaw of the ship. The propeller it self needs to be spun by hand via a cranking rod which runs in the middle the full length of the boat with groves like a hand drill that allow gripping it. The propeller itself like the wings can be folded and stowed inside the ships sitting area when it is not needed. It is shaped in spiral of cloth as shown:
