The Masters combine the genetic patterns of creatures from all over the planet into a super-species.

Wanting a pet with which to ride and rule upon The Masters design and create a dragon-like, temporally-aware, fully-sentient species. This creature is a combination of the DNA of the Dqatavahhiyu, Feirie, and themselves. It is nearly immortal, surviving on minerals from rocks and whatever else they can find. They are capable of flying swifter that a Feirie, running faster than wind, and swimming against the strongest currents. And most importantly, they were given the ability to Shift through time at will. The humans eventually name these creatures 'Drakynfly'.
