Following a series of meteor strikes, some Drakynfly fight and escape the careful compounds the Masters had set up to house them and flee to the equatorial cave systems and mountain ranges.

A set of meteor strikes surprise The Masters by hitting the compounds preventing the Drakynfly from Shifting away from their control. The destruction kills many Drakynfly and Masters. The surviving imprisoned creature take advantage of the chaos to fight and leave. Once outside the containment facility, they flee north, across the South Ice Ring, and into the mountains on the continents on and near the equator. They live and flourish there.
