Outpost Earpiece

Because the Drakynfly lack vocal folds, and any speech they attempt to make is whispered, in many conditions, a human Traveler cannot make out the words they make. To fix this, an earpiece was made that the human wears, that picks up the voice of the Drakynfly.
A crystal of the drakynfly’s bloodl is mounted to an earbud and worn in the ear of the rider. Another crystal, mounted into a necklace, and put around the drakynfly’s throat, where it picks up the it’s speech and transmits it to the earpiece. The means by which it manages to do this is entirely unknown and a secret of the Outposters.
