Hikar
Properties
Material Characteristics
Hikar, in its purest form, appears exactly the same as human blood, save for its characteristic shimmer.
Origin & Source
Hikar originates in demigods (or other partially-divine beings). Gods, technically, have no permanent physical form. Because of this, when non-physical gods have a child with physical beings (be it humans, spirits, etc), the god's inherent magic is present in the child's blood.
History & Usage
Refinement
Because hikar loses its magic when it's left the body, it's extremely difficult to refine. The blood must be extracted magically, stored in a specialized glass, and then cooled over a period of several days. Refined hikar takes the form of small crystals called Ekter stones.
