Magiterra

Six thousand years ago, a catastrophe destroyed all known civilization. Scattered across the world of Magiterra the various races began to pick up the pieces. Heroes wielding items of great power, who had survived the the cataclysm, forged the survivors into civilizations. In all but one place, the technology of the before times was lost and abandoned, as magic had infused the world, and any who studied could access it.   In time the heroes passed into myth and legend, along with their artifacts. However those who had caused the catastrophe remained, plotting their next move. As those who had resisted them were claimed by the passage of time.   Now, demons spill forth from the abyss bringing chaos to the land. An empire in the east, claiming to represent, good, justice, and the will of their God spreads rapidly, crushing all who stand in their way. An alliance of psionic abominations grows in power, treating those not of their ilk only as fodder for their growing ambitions. The mistakes of the past must be addressed before all is lost.
