Athorias "Briarwood" Windfield

The cursed and forgotten child of Lord and Lady Briarwood. Cursed with a lesser form of Vampirism but through his own knowledge and blessing of Serenrae he is still able to retain his humanity. Raised in the Port Damali by the church of Serenrae he quickly identified as a prodigy in alchemy and naturalism and sent to the Soltryce Academy to learn. He was well respected in the Academy thanks to his prodigious knowledge of alchemy but was never able to climb the ranks thanks to his limited magical ability and unwillingness to play political games. Eventually, he left the academy after a series of incidents between him and the Academy staff. Upon him leaving he made his first firearms and realized in part his dark lineage. Falling in with a group of adventures who traveled the land and eventually fought a Vampire poisoning a city for a dark purpose. Him and his friends failed and were all killed by this vampire but Athorias' curse prevented him from dying and as an act of revenge he was able to cure the disease. Now he hunts the vampire down and it has lead him to Tal’Dorei where he is wanted by the government for illegal arms manufacture and necromancy as he keeps returning from the dead.
