He retired from hunter after the Week of Nightmares leaving the family "business" to his children and son-in-law. He gifted his two children each a sword upon his retirement as he would have no more use for them.

Valmanway
Gifted to Sybil. A blade of pure platinum that had long been enchanted with a wind spirit. To those gifted with the blade's true name it would unsheathe itself, however would remain in it's sheath for others. While the blade wasn't as deadly as a normal sword it was able to attack at supernatural speeds. However the blade proved too power for her to handle and she opted to have it displayed instead.

Morgenstern
Gifted to Julius. A sword tipped in platinum and blessed from various religions, while the sword is not magical as Valmanway it requires a high skill level to use to its full strength. The blade can detach into pieces to form the classic Belmont whip. After his forced retirement, he repurposed the sheath as a cane and is always on his person.
