Zabic Desert

The scorching sands of the Zabic Desert are said to be enough to melt skin and flesh. While this is an exaggeration, the Zabic Desert is extremely hot- so hot, in fact, that only the Yezic brave the desert, marking it as their homeland. Besides them, almost nobody even traverses across the desert, much less inhabits it.

Geography

The Zabic Desert is covered by a layer of sand, creating large sand dunes across its surface. The little water there is in the desert exists mainly in oases, or else near the coasts.

Fauna & Flora

Very little life exists in the interior of the desert. Towards the edges, animals like lions, camels, antelope, and horses live, with mongooses, snakes, and tortoises. Very few plants are able to grow in the desert, except for hardy grasses and shrubs.

Natural Resources

One major resource exists in the Zabic Desert, and it is crucial to trade- salt. The Yezic people survive off of the salt trade, selling it to Ayira and the Zorbian cities in exchange for food and other tradeable goods.
