The Sea of Kir

Few ever venture far enough beyond the Anguin Mountains to see the Sea of Kir. It is a vast expanse of water north of the Inillun Mountains, and its coasts are home to small villages and towns, chief among them being Taur. The region it sits in, the Great Grass Sea, is a vast expanse of grass extending beyond the areas mapped out by civilization.

Geography

The Sea of Kir is a large basin filled with saltwater in the middle of the Great Grass Sea. To the south are the Inillun Mountains, to the west are the Anguin Mountains, and to the northwest is Onarith. The area around the sea is extremely flat, and winds constantly sweep across it.

Fauna & Flora

Almost no trees grow anywhere near the sea. The flora is dominated by grasses, among which barley grows. The steppes nearby are home to bison, horses, antelope, and camels, being hunted by cave lions and wolves. Eagles are another major predator near the Sea of Kir. Many unique fish species live inside the sea, all being hunted by the only species of seal that lives inland, the Kirian seal.

Natural Resources

The sea is home to few natural resources, chief among them being fish and fur, which is traded for food by the locals.
