Onarith

The vast forest of Onarith stands as the last great forest in the west, a remnant of the forest that once covered all of the Western Plain. Its tall trees give shelter to the animals that live inside, and the tribesmen that hunt them.

Geography

Onarith stretches from the western edge of Magavir to the far north, beyond civilization. Mostly flat, the forest is almost split in half by the Anguin Mountains. It is relatively cold, compared to the rest of Magavir, and it snows more heavily in this region than anywhere else.

Fauna & Flora

Coniferous trees dominate the flora of the forest, with ferns and mosses coating the ground. In the southern areas, some deciduous trees grow, but these are few and far between. Wolves, bears, and panthers hunt deer, moose, elk, and rabbits. Eagles, owls, hawks, and some songbirds inhabit the tree branches and cliffs of the Anguin Mountains.

Natural Resources

Few natural resources outside of lumber exists in Onarith, with the soil being less fertile than the southern regions. The tribes of Onarith are mainly hunter-gatherer societies.
