The world 60 or so years after a calamity has struck. In it the gods were once again rallied after a rather unusual lich/mage/bard were able to remove the protective barrier which keeps gods and being capable of forming worlds from interfering in the realm of mortals, normally called "the material planes" <- note plural. Basically it turned into a fight between the beings os order and chaos of where or not to return the balance to the world or return it to well... something before what it was. As the clashes started getting dragged into different realms the gods of chaos seemingly backed of, maybe to bide time or maybe deeming that the change/damage had been dealt. The main god of formerly neutrality, now chaos, Col. Ville were supposedly the god who first turned the struggle in favour of the chaos faction. He was also the one who laid the groundwork for the new barrier once the Planecores started breaking, letting the gods of order once more cut the godly interference down to a minimum. As the god of ratcatchers, heroics and upsets, the hand of Col. Ville has since been felt on occasion in the material plane of Mafaexla giving suspicion of him having tampered with the weaving of the barrier.   While the barrier was returned after some intense years of power struggles most of the organized civilisations and societies had been razed. This was not the main struggle for the surviving people as many great scholars and mages still lived and would've been able to record and rebuild. And some did do that. The real damage was geographical as the continent was torn asunder and left with (5?) major new continents and all of the teleportation devices destroyed. To make things worse the gods of chaos tampered with The Weave in order to upset the current teleportation and resurrection spells, forcing non-divine attempts to cast these spells to have to be rediscovered.   1. Mostly humans and they're all racists AF, main plot hook which will start once the PC gets stronger as they start invading. Likely the most developed and systemized of the continents. 2. Almost pure anarchy, mixed races and only one or two cities worth the name. One's own life is treated as fleeting and little is made to establish anything worth calling a structure (note, the abstract structure, not a building). The most struck when it comes to magical chaos where anything from continuous resurrection to a tarrasque being eternally polymorphed into a kitten. Likely Future campaign. 3. Main setting for current campaign. While many settlements and societies still exist the keep mostly to themselves, the most extreme being the "high"-elves. Many guilds of sorts have been established in order for trade and exchanges to happen, the most relevant being the adventurers guild but more exist. The most calm of the continents in terms of war and largescale combat. 4. A cluster of larger and smaller islands. A sort of huge archipelago I suppose. Will feature more water based species and races. As most islands lack any heritage they are prone to piracy and violent changes to their rulership. 5. ?   Name idea is shamelessly stolen from instagram. In this version it's an abbreviation of "Magical fantasy explorers land".
