Phalinos
"the Unquenchable Fire" * "the Searing Blade"
One of the Immortals created by Ahkaja and one of the three Demi-Gods promoted by Auraelys the Chosen. He is the head of the Aileron Guard and was once know as Ahkaja's right hand. He is the creator of the aarakocra race.
Appearance
Phalinos is a ruggedly handsome figure who is said to never really smile. His skin actually has more of a golden bronze color and his eyes have a very pale bluish color. He has dark shoulder length hair that has a silver like sheen to it and several scars that adorn his face. However, you would be hard pressed to know what he looks like or to see him smile as he is rarely ever seen without his iconic winged helmet. His helmet and plate armor are crafted out of a blue steel that is trimmed in gun metal grey with silver touches and highlights. It is adorned with a spiked crown collar and a deep red cloak with his crest. The longsword and shield he carries are crafted from the same rare metals and the shield also carries his crest. He stands about 6'6" and has translucent silver magical wings that he displays occasionally. When he is actually seen in the city, he is usually flying with his magical wings alongside the Aileron Guard. Worshipers
There are many who worship Phalinos for his strength, his piety, and his dedication to Ahkaja with a pure heart. Many churches regard him as the right hand of Ahkaja as he was his most valiant warrior. Many devout paladins, good hearted fighters, clerics, and monks follow his dedication to discipline. Some celestial warlocks and even a few who follow the pact of the blade have been known to follow him. Herald

Many Ahkari have been devout and considered holy, but none more so than Phalinos. To Phalinos, every word of Ahkaja was law and it was a law he was going to enforce. He spent any time he could conversing with the Maker and would preach to others his holy law. He trained under Bhoregohst at first but found himself training more with Clezdhurr, Vulgarris, & Rhellion. The one on one training the Ahkarian brothers was a time of bonding and friendship as well as the training. He was considered by many during that time as "Ahkaja's Right Hand". When Ahkaja picked the others as his Chosen, many thought Phalinos would be angry or upset. This was not the case. Phalinos felt it was an honor to serve Ahkaja and his Chosen and to be the guardian over their faith. He had been enamoured with the Ahkarian royal eagle and had chosen that as his crest. He felt that if he could, he would start a legion of warriors dedicated to their faith and the Ahkarian royal eagle would be their icon of their order. During this time, he could feel Hestius's competitive nature for Auraelys's help to be ramping up with mild irritation. He had never really liked Hestius, but he respected him for his passion and fervor for honing his skills with the blade, but just wished his passion was more focused and not so selfish with his goals. After an incident or two, he steered clear of him and just focused on his duty and had advised Clezdhurr to do the same. He took all the Ahkari that were willing to join and formed the Ahkaja Royal Guard. During that time aside from fending off beast attacks, they primarily tried to ease dissention amongst the Ahkari. Phalinos took the introduction to the new races well, though he encouraged all to be on their guard just in case. When the gnomes broke through the core, this displeased him and he felt they could be doing irrefutable harm to their Maker's creation and cause problems for Maelkairne's future. Ahkaja intervened and spoke with the gnome gods and let Phalinos and the other Ahkari know he felt their existence could be beneficial. Ahkaja repaired the core and this put Phalinos's mind at ease. After the gift of procreation, Phalinos said he was dedicated to his duty and had no other lusts to fulfil. At the event that would become known forevermore as the Shattering, Phalinos had his Royal Guard standing tall awaiting their Maker's gift. When it started going tragically wrong, the Guard tried to maintain peace but the situation dove into chaos. When the event had passed and Bhoregohst defiled their God, Phalinos and the Royal Guard tried to take him and several others under custody. Bhoregohst made a getaway and Phalinos and his guard failed to apprehend him. Soon they realized they had more important matters to attend. He helped to fight back the Rincaeda wizards but still heard no voice of his Maker. He tried closing every rift in Ahkaja's name and looked skyward for his father to acknowledge him but no voice was heard. He soon sank into depression and disbanded the guard while he sat in prayer relentlessly to receive only silence. It was only after the Hestius's betraying actions that stirred the zeal in him back up. When Nuevana brought back Auraelys on death's door, Phalinos ran to her side and deeply apologized for giving up on them and not being there to protect her. She forgave him telling him it was not his fault. She blessed both Nuevana and him there as her newly appointed Demi-Gods. Phalinos swore to her he would never betray his faith again nor ever return to those dark days again. After the rifts were fully closed and the building of Lowlgaithia begun, Phalinos sought out the brave souls who gave their lives to the dark times. He crafted their soul into the race that would become the aarikocra. He himself took on having wings like the royal eagle with his new found powers, and would join with his new creations to form what would become known as the Aileron Guard. They have become the military force protecting the holy city of Lowlgaithia and close surrounding regions on the outlying areas. He and the Aileron Guard constructed Eihlrahgoada, also known as the Bowels, the maximum security prison laying low below the waters of Lowlgaithia. He is Auraelys dedicated guard and will continue to serve Ahkaja while he anxiously awaits to hear his Master's call. He is the military lead of the Keepers of the Stone and regularly holds council for such in the city Ahdinhara in Earillion.
