Uld: The Upcoming Kingdom
The country of Uld is relatively young compared to the other nations on the continent of Maelfalis. The nation was officially founded at the end of the Castor Conflict, as the House of Uld's Tormund was an influential leader in the coalition to stop the warmongering nation of Castor, after the murder of the elven queen Teralyn Elrie. As many of the free people flocked under House Uld's banners in order to fight or seek protection, the nation itself grew out of the influx of people. Once the conflict was over, Tormund changed his name to Darieos, and helped form the nation into much of what it is today. Since that time each leader of House Uld has ceremoniously changed their name to Darieos once they have taken the burden of leadership. Currently, Darieos IV leads the nation.
