Grand Palace of the White Owl

The Grand Palace of the White Owl is a large complex of different building who serves multiple purposes in the city of Niselenas. The Grand Palace serves as a place for the witches of the Sacred Coven of Niselenas and their students to live in and study and also serves as a government building where the heads of the Coven meet to make decisions. The Palace has thirteen floors and 7 levels of basement.

Covenstead Hall

Located on the 13th floor this is where the heads of the Coven meet with the Head Sister to assess matters important for the security of the city-state and the wellbeing of their citizens. Here many incantations and magical artifacts are kept, so groupal use of powerful magic is taken care of here. Judgments are also taken here: 3 randomly assigned witches serve as the jury and if necessary the Head Sister dictates punishment.

Main Floors

• 1st floor: Serves as a reception and holds the first level of the library where important files are located.
• 2nd floor: Holds the most extensive part of the library with access for all students and authorized visitors.
• 3rd to 5th floor: Classrooms and experiment halls for students.
• 6th and 7th floors: Training room for battle-witches and shield-witches.
• 8th floor: Barracks for the battle-witches and shield-witches.
• 9th and 10th floors: Private investigation rooms for official witches.
• 11th and 12th floors: Rooms for all the witches of the Coven. Contains a private library with forbidden books.

Basement Levels

• 1st to 5th level: Barracks and recreative areas for students.
• 6th level: Practically empty. It is used mainly as a barrier filled with triggerable traps and protections, mundane and magical alike, to defend the Palace from anything in the 7th level.
• 7th level: Used as a dungeon for dangerous criminals waiting for trial. It contains a magic circle that can be activated from the Covenstead Hall to transport prisoners there.
